Diabetes Education

Diabetes is a serious disease that affects the body's ability to produce or respond
properly to insulin, a hormone that allows blood glucose (sugar) to enter the cells of
the body and be used for energy.  Diabetes education is offered for newly diagnosed individuals with type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes.

  Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)

St. Francois County Health Center offers confidential counsultation for STDs,
including HIV/AIDS by appointment.  Please call 573-431-1947 ext. 141 for information
or to schedule a confidential appointment.  Appointments are essential to insure that staff are available when you visit.  Ask questions via email>

HIV/AIDS

Case management is available for individuals testing positive for HIV.  A variety of
services are available including:

 Referal to Infectious Disease Physicians

Assistance with Physician Costs; Laboratory work; Medications are available for those who are financially eligible.
